Pre-Release Hands-On
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
The S25 Edge's raison d'être is its design. At 5.8mm thin and 163g, it's remarkably light and slim in a way that genuinely surprises when you first pick it up. The titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 maintain Samsung's premium build standards.
Samsung Galaxy S26+
The S26+ adopts a more "Ultra-like" design with less rounded corners for a unified family look. The Armor Aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection are solid. At ~7.3mm thin and ~190g, it's comfortable to hold.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display maintains Samsung's display excellence. It's the same panel technology found in the S25+, delivering vibrant colors, deep blacks, and smooth 120Hz scrolling.
Samsung Galaxy S26+
The 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate is familiar territory — essentially the same excellent display as the S25+. No Privacy Display here; that remains an Ultra exclusive.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge
The dual camera system is the Edge's most controversial compromise. The 200MP main sensor produces excellent photos, but the absence of a telephoto lens at $1,099 is a significant omission that most reviewers flag as a dealbreaker.
Samsung Galaxy S26+
The camera system is the S26+'s weakest link: the same 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP 3x telephoto setup Samsung has used since the Galaxy S23. Software processing improvements from One UI 8.5 may help, but the hardware is unchanged.
