Overall Synthesis
The MacBook Air 15-inch M5 is the finest large-screen ultraportable available. It shares the same M5 chip upgrades as the 13-inch — faster performance, Wi-Fi 7, and 512GB base storage — in a spacious chassis with excellent speakers and a larger canvas for multitasking. The $1,299 entry price is $100 more than the M4 launch, which stings slightly, but the value proposition for anyone who prefers a bigger screen without the weight of a MacBook Pro is hard to argue with. M4 Air 15 owners can comfortably skip.
